Description:
iGrid T&D is a company set up by senior engineers who have many years of experience in the control of power grids and consists of a multidisciplinary team of professional experts with wide knowledge of power grid telecontrol. We are an independent consultancy that can advise any utility how best to automate their power grids, for example by helping to standardize equipment, protocols, and communications systems. Our team brings together experts with knowledge of all parts of the control system: field sensors, signal filters, processing, I/O modules, IED, automation, storage, telecommunication protocols, and control centers.

Experience:
We have been working for over ten years with some of the world's biggest utilities, helping them to remotely control more than 200 substations, 150 hydraulic power plants, and 5000 secondary distribution substations. Our expertise has grown by working on research and development projects that have given us first hand experience of protocols such as IEC60870-5-101/103/104, DNP3, DLMS, Modbus, Harris 6000, Spa-bus and IEC-61850. We have a great deal of experience in field work, commissioning, and project management.We have been involved in large integration projects with different vendors such as ABB, Siemens, Areva, SEL, Harris, Schenider, Telvent, Landys, and Maessa.We share our knowledge among our entire team and network of partners, drawing upon the expertise and creativity necessary to address the challenges of energy control.
